Mount TBR, 2024 edition

Finally, FINALLY, the bookshelves have been built and the books have been unpacked.

Here is the wall of Mount TBR.



These are not all vintage romances (this is also my Harlequin collection), but they are all part of Mount TBR. Per LibraryThing, it currently stands at *gulp* 1,224 books. So let's get reading again!

I knows its hard to tell from this picture, but the books that are standing up (the bottom two rows) are hardback and trade paperback. The bottom row is actually cookbooks and some vintage history books/story collections on the far right. Above that are trade-sized paperbacks. Its easier to stand them up.

Everything else is mass market paperback, and its easier to stuff more of them onto shelves if you stack them, LOL. As you can see from the Harlequin shelves on the left, you can get eight columns of books, stacked two deep, on those long shelves.

The only mass market paperbacks that are standing up at the moment are my GLHs. I basically wanted to see how they'd look standing up, since I know there a limited number of them. Honestly, I'm going to have to stack them, I think, I just haven't had the chance. I need to Goo Gone a couple of the covers where stubborn stickers of various vintages didn't want to come off, LOL.

Ahhhhhhhhhh. I figured it had to be something like that, but I was also open to you saying it was like shopping in a bookstore and you wanted the ~vibe~ for your TBR or something else entirely!

LOL nope, if anything I want a "library" vibe! I have them organized by publisher --> imprint/line --> author last name --> title or series #, or in the case of my HQNs, by date released. I have the Christmas themed books separated out, and the Zebra Gothics collected together for easy finding.

There were only 100 of the GLH books printed by Tyndale House, all with the white spines and updated cover art, and that's the only version I am collecting. Since there is a limited number, I thought I might be able to stand them up. I have about a quarter of the books now, and obviously they are going to take up more room than anticipated, unless I stack 'em. But hey, as long as I can see the titles, I'm good LOL!!
